Humanities: Snippets of History Through Children's Literature
This two-hour block is an integrated humanities course driven by beautiful
children’s literature. Students will engage in various activities while learning
geography, language arts, Christian character and Bible study, science, math, and
art.
In-Class Curriculum: Five in a Row, selections from Volume 1, 2, 3 & 4
At Home Recommendations: Parents are responsible for choosing a language arts
and a math curriculum for home instruction, as well as engage in weekly memory
work practice.
Imagination Hour
This class is designed for students to enjoy interactive, imaginative activities in a
worksheet free environment. Activities will include a combination of music, poetry,
storybooks, dress-up, fairy tales, and open-ended art projects. All of the activities
in this class will be play-based and without specific academic outcomes. This is a
class for students to engage in meaningful, restful learning.
At Home Recommendations: None
Science Exploration
Students will enjoy hands-on experiments and/or crafts that correspond with
weekly science memory work. Topics for 2025/26 academic year include
astronomy, chemistry, physics, and more!
